I finished reading the book HMS Surprise today. Excellent novel, thank you Patrick.
It is the 3rd book in the Aubrey-Maturin series. Aubrey is the brilliant naval captain and Maturin is the brilliant ship doctor. They are best friends. They jam together, Aubrey with the fiddle and Maturin with a cello I believe.
In this book there is some land action before they get on the ship. And then they travel from the Mediterranean down around South Africa and up to India. Some action on land in India and in the Indian seas. Then back to Europe.
